How it works

Take cash out of your bank, carry it on your phone, hand it to whoever you like. Walk it back to the bank when you're done. The flow hasn't changed in three hundred years — only the wallet has.

Withdraw from your bank

Take money off your bank account and onto your phone — the same motion as stopping by an ATM. What you load is what you carry; nothing more.

Hand it over, phone to phone

Bluetooth or NFC. Hold your phone near theirs and it moves across — no signal, no account, no questions. Exactly like handing someone a note.

Spend it the moment you have it

Cash you receive is cash you can pass on. No clearing, no waiting, no pending state — the same as a note someone hands you on the street.

Deposit back at the bank

When you're carrying more than you need, return any amount to your account — the same as walking up to a teller. You choose when; it never happens on its own.

Two phones, one handoff. No server approval, no bank permission — the same as pulling a note out of your pocket.

It doesn't go stale

Load money today, spend it next year. Cash in your pocket doesn't expire. Neither does this.

Yours the second you have it

Received cash is spendable cash — offline, to anyone, right away. Like a note in the hand.

Nobody learns your name

Transfers show a temporary codename — Amber Fox, Blue Crane — and nothing else. Cash in the street is anonymous. So is this.

Lose the phone, lose the cash

Same truth as a wallet. If it's gone, what was in it is gone. We say so plainly, because cash does too.

Free between people

Handing over a banknote doesn't cost anything. Neither does handing over CASH.

Notes, not decimals

Fixed denominations. A wallet of pieces, not a slider. You carry sums, not fractions — the way cash has always worked.

Spend only what you carry

Pre-funded. No credit, no debt, no overdraft. The balance on the phone is the limit — the same as cash in your pocket.

Why we're building it

The world is running out of cash.

Billions of people live where signal is patchy, towers go down, and card terminals don't reach. Cash has always worked there. And cash is disappearing.

What's replacing it wants two accounts, two institutions, and a working connection between them. CASH asks for none of those.

It's a banknote you can carry on your phone — the same weight, the same freedom, the same privacy. Hand it to anyone, anywhere. No one has to approve.
